12 week Summer Program for Reading Comprehension and Receptive Language
Welcome to our enriching 12-week summer speech therapy program, designed to boost your child's language comprehension and receptive language skills, with a strong emphasis on reading. Recognizing the hard work your child puts in during the school year, our program ensures they maintain and build on that momentum over the summer.
Our approach is grounded in direct, clinically appropriate instruction based on the science of reading, ensuring evidence-based literacy improvement. Through thematic learning, your child will dive deep into engaging themes centered around the humanities. This not only enhances their reading skills but also instills important moral values, fostering growth as both a learner and an individual.
Weeks 1-4: Establish a strong foundation with themes that explore story structure, enrich vocabulary, and enhance grammar and sentence construction.
Weeks 5-8: Strengthen comprehension skills through themes that include inferencing, understanding figurative language, and identifying main ideas and details.
Weeks 9-12: Apply these skills to real-world contexts, focusing on non-fiction texts and storytelling, culminating in a celebration of progress and personal growth.
Our program is fully remote, providing the flexibility your family needs during the summer months. We also offer group interactive sessions, ensuring a collaborative and engaging learning experience.

Evaluation
We will begin with a speech and language evaluation including a case history, parent interview, informal assessments, and standardized testing. The results of the evaluation will guide us in documenting your child’s communication strengths, detailing their support needs, and determining a diagnosis. We hold a post-evaluation consultation meeting with each child’s family to describe the evaluation results and discuss meaningful treatment goals.
If a child has already participated in an evaluation within the past 12 months, we may reference their last evaluation report and begin therapy right away.
Home Based speech therapy services
Home based speech therapy sessions are designed to provide the working mother and father with the flexibility to support their child by offering evenings and weekend sessions.

Our virtual group therapy has been implemented to allow the convenience of our patient to receive the needed help with their communicative issues and also allow them to advance their skills in adaptive communicative avenues with the ever evolving world around them.
Parent coaching and staff coaching
Are you curious about a specific interventional approach or a specific language disorder? Our licensed speech and language therapist can educate you and your staff about the topic to put your mind at ease to enable you to assist a child or a student better.
